Hi! My name is Stacy.
I am an artist based out of the beautiful city of New Orleans. I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, but after almost a decade now, I most certainly consider Nola to be “home”. I instantly fell in love with the vibrant music, the diverse cultures, the incredible food, and, most importantly, the phenomenal people!
My talent and passion for the arts, of all forms, is something that I feel I was blessed to have been born with. I am extremely thankful for my amazing parents and family that have always supported my interests and endeavors starting at a very young age. For example, for my fifth birthday as a Kindergartener, I asked my parents for a trip to Home Depot so that I could pick out paint and wallpaper so that I could design my room the way I had envisioned. My amazing father said yes and my mom, of course, loved to see me doing something creative. In the 18 years I lived there, those walls were probably done and redone, wallpapered and plastered and who-knows-what at least seven DOZEN times… by me.
For over 15 years of my life, I was a competitive ice dancer. Figure skating certainly consumed a VERY large portion of my life including before and after school almost 6 days a week; however, I was extremely proud to have made it to the Olympic level and have the opportunity to represent my country on Team USA all over the world. While ice dancing was my first “true love,” my passion for painting, drawing, designing, sculpting, and creating was always there. I accredit competing at that level for many invaluable life sessions and most importantly my work ethic. I graduated high school as Valedictorian and went on to study Neuroscience, Biology, and Studio Art at the University of Pittsburgh. Yes, I know, all three majors go well together. I was accepted into Columbia University’s Medical School, but ultimately decided not to go. My heart has always truly been in the creative world, so I instead decided to start my own company at 22. A decade and a half later, here I am, and I absolutely LOVE what I do!
I’m a proud 4th generation painter as well as a 2ndgeneration interior designer. Most days, I feel I live for color, vibrancy, texture, and just in general good vibes and positivity, which I aim to express through my art. After all, my company slogan is, “Just be a good person. It’s the most basic concept…”
I hope that your new piece brings you happiness and I appreciate you as a forever client. Please feel free to follow me on Instagram @stacymacart or check out my website stacymacart.com, as I’m trying to get better at keeping it updated. All that being said, I am still admittedly VERY old school and ALWAYS appreciate an actual phone call.
Have a “super-fantastico” day!
Stacy Mac 😊
I love seeing my clients! Please come visit me in person most weekends out in Jackson Square.
